Hello, Ladies and Gentlemen this is Geeky Panda, and i'm bringing you what I hope to be a very helpful and informative guide on a confusing thing for most people, I would say. Foreign Characters.

First off, throughout the entire guide, I -will- act like you have read my other guides.

Foreign Characters, such as any other character, have to have a story behind their existence of course, but, since these aren't your average ninja samurai's, let's go over some things.

Their background.
They need to be suitable for this time frame, and they need to make sense! Someone that's British, sounds British, and looks British, most likely would not have gone to Japan on a whim! Give them reason!

Name them appropriately, please.
I've never seen somebody from Ireland named Kyokyo Itakisun. Someone from the middle-east would be named Muhammed, Adhir, Tamir, Muammar, Sadam, Saleem. Someone from Britain or Ireland would be named Johnathan, Nathaniel, William. Just make sure to name them appropriately!

Make sure that there isn't any Confusion!
When people see you in a game centered around roleplaying in a Japanese world and see you named, "Leon Burgerson", they'll most likely shun you off as a noob who doesn't know how to roleplay correctly. Make -sure- to get the point across to any characters around you that you are NOT in any way, shape, or form, from that area. This WILL save you trouble in the long run, and it's almost guaranteed they will appreciate you roleplaying as this persona... (If done correctly.)

A word of advice though, don't create some far fetched story of how an entire country sought your character so he fled to Japan. In reality he would still be caught. :3
