Hey all!

Been a while since I bothered posting here, since there was absolutely nothing I could do to revive the game from the state in which it was left. That has since changed, and I now have access to the means to better the game, and bring it to the state in which it was originally meant to be played.

Just a thought on this. I don't know if you CAN code this into a game or not but it's worth a suggestion. Instead of being able to create anything at any level, you have to gain a certain level to be able to smith/craft said item. I don't know if anyone shares this idea or thought but it sounds a bit better since you slowly level so you might as well level where you gain something other than quality. Such as:

Arrows and Fishing rod: Required level = 0
Bow and Bokken: Required level = 5
Bo-Staff = 10

and likewise for smiths

1 Bar needed weapons/Armor/Whatever: Required level = 0
2 Bar needed weapons/Armor/Whatever: Required level = 10
3 Bar needed weapons/Armor/Whatever: Required level = 20

I would note the differences are cause of what i've seen this wipe. I see people getting 30 blacksmith but no where NEAR that level with crafting. Highest I know of is 17/18 and I myself am getting close to level 13. Just thoughts.


Style Limiter: I know supposedly that they are redoing styles in how they are but that doesn't necessarily stop powergamers from power gaming. A limiter or whatever you want to call it disables gaining any proficiency for a certain level frame:

Beginning limiter: Max style level 4
2nd limiter: Max style level 7
Free range: Whatever the true max is or whatever or 10.

Just a thought.

smithing its indeed that way, i like the part where you require some lvls to create certain items and i agree wit that, though its already hard to smith beacuse you require certain lvl on smelt to even use good metals, weapons here doesnt differ by their kind, it depends on the material and as you stated the quality i think the hardest is gold, though i never had the chance to see a gold weapon.
if something has to be reduced is the exp that molding keys do, what the smithers first do is takign advantage of the ooc knowledge thei have from molds, and just wait tills theres a shogun to ask them for it

Gold and Silver are as good as tin from what I've heard. As for key molds, people asked me this wipe and I told them no. Razz As for smelting I wouldn't know.

Easy. The idea is pretty good, as well. I'm pretty sure Smiles was already going to add in something like this.
